[NEWS] I’m moving!

Happy 2016! I’ve mentioned about the makeover of the blog in my previous post. I figured that it’s finally time to migrate the blog to a self-hosted site. As the original “wangfood” is already registered by someone else, I’ve chosen “eatwitheva” as the new domain of my site, to keep it consist with my social media.

The new site is effective now, and this blog will no longer be updated.

Thank you for your support throughout the year. Looking forward to share more of my food journey with you.

Please continue to follow me over at –> http://www.eatwitheva.com/

{A special thanks to Jennifer (@happily.letter.after) for designing my new logos}

Cheers,

[MTL] Café + Salon de thé – La Brume dans mes Lunettes

IMG_0956-2

Locating in the Little Italy, La Brume dans mes Lunettes is my current cafe (or should I say tearoom?) crush. I did not pay much attention to this cafe until I saw their menu, which they offer afternoon tea set after 2pm on weekdays! Ever since, I’ve been trying to find an occasion to go, and I finally had the time to visit with Kristin from CHEN CHEW. I would say this is my favorite afternoon tea spot so far.

Besides Roli Roti Rotisserie at Ferry Plaza Building, another memorable meal I had was a private event called “EatWith“, hosted by Don. I first heard about EatWith from a travel website. The concept is to “bring people together one meal at a time”. It’s an alternative and delicious way for travelers to explore more about the local culture by dining at a local’s house. Though it might sounds a bit sketchy and weird, but I knew that it would definitely be a great experience.

How can ones leave San Francisco without having king crabs, oysters, and clam chowder? Instead of afraid to get ripped off at the touristy Fisherman’s Wharf, I saved my seafood cravings for this meal. I came across Fishmonger’s Crab Feast, hosted by Don, who has zero average reviews on trip advisor!

[NYC] French Flair in the Big Apple – Bouley [One Michelin-Starred]

_MG_0339_Fotor

Bouley is an one Michelin-starred restaurant locating in the TriBeCa of New York. I visited when I went with my family back in May. A fine dining lunch has become a family tradition whenever we reunite. As there are quite a lot of michelin-starred restaurants in New York, you might wonder why I chose Bouley?

[HK] Cafés Hopping in the Pearl of the Orient

I visit Hong Kong at least once a year because of my family. I have a love-hate relationship for Hong Kong. It’s such a cosmopolitan and lively city, which I often described it as the “New York of Asia”. However, the population is so dense, and with many tourists, I feel suffocate and intense whenever I stay more than 3 days. Nonetheless, I spent a week in Hong Kong with my brother this summer, and got to explore few cafés. Let’s take a look…
